It's all aout nails...

Happy Friday everyone, I hope you're all with me when I say goodbye to the crazy hectic week and hello to the hopefully nice and relaxing weekend (although it seldom is).

So, yesterday I actually managed to find the time (between school runs, parent teacher meetings and after school activities) to get my nails done with the lovely Diane of "Creative nails and brows" it's a nice mother/daughter company in the East Yorkshire area, where I get to have a nice cuppa and friendly chat while I get my nails beautified.

This pic is of my sisters beautiful nails and this is definitely my nail goal...

Now, in no way do my nail technicians have an easy job when it comes to my nails, between my medical conditions, medications and busy, hands on personality the various polishes just do not want to stay on for longer than a couple of days (on average they're supposed to last approximately 2-3 weeks)

(My christmas nails which are roughly the length they were when I first started going to "Creative nails and Brows"

This means that we have been trying all kinds of different products in an attempt to get them to just play ball. Some of the products have managed to improve the longevity and therefore length of my nails, but we have yet to find a method (without the need for acrylic overlays) which makes them last the full time between appointments. I cannot for the life of me remember which product we used this time but believe me when I say I am crossing my fingers (and everything else lol) in the hopes that this finally works. You see, the problem is that until we have everything sorted I am a little limited in colour and design but once we have it down it'll open up a whole world of colours and design possibilities, I'll go from thinking about how to make them last to deciding if stiletto, rounded or squared of nails will look best and should I have matte or glossy polish? and the colour choices oh boy will I have some fun with that. Until then though heres what they look like now and I have to say I'm pretty pleased that I've managed to grow them to this length, I know, I know, they're pitiful in comparison to most, but for me this is a huge achievement.

I will see you again tomorrow with my fave products from February, until then enjoy whats left of Friday :)
